THE EXPERIENCE

A place to practise.

ULA’s August 8–28, 2026 Tiantai intensive combined monastic learning and silent practice in Dongshi with a final study week in Taipei. Shared living and communal work were part of the programme, with Chinese–English teaching advertised. The published arrival reference conflicts with the headline dates and should not be reused for a future edition.

What you can practise

  • Tiantai meditation
  • Buddhist study
  • chanting
  • communal work

Where you will stay

Shared communal accommodation across two sites, with participants contributing to cooking or cleaning.

Unlimited Lights Chinese Culture Academy

One multi-site programme. Its 2025 retrospective names Dongshi Shizhi Nianfo Vihara, also used by Farming Zen in 2026; the 2026 Tiantai announcement does not name its Dongshi hall.
