A place to practise.

Mabu Forest hosted an advanced ten-day retreat with Tsoknyi Rinpoche, organised by Taiwan Pundarika. Residence and silence were mandatory, and the organiser arranged nearby overflow accommodation when the venue filled. This record preserves a real Hsinchu County programme, but it is historical; a later review course belongs to a different venue in Nantou.

Mabu Forest is the 2019–2020 venue; Tsoknyi Rinpoche is the teacher and Taiwan Pundarika the organiser. The 2026 Nantou review course is another site.

Overseas admission unconfirmed. Adults aged 18 or older, subject to advanced-course screening and full attendance; not a beginner drop-in.

Ask about English. Confirm instruction, translation and orientation for your specific programme.

  • Historical visiting-organiser programme; no current Mabu Buddhist retreat verified.
  • The 2026 review course is in Nantou and must not be mapped to Hsinchu.
  • Teaching alternated Tibetan and English with Chinese translation; full English access is not established.
