THE EXPERIENCE
A place to practise.
Guanhai Temple has documented monastery-life camps combining meditation, chanting, precepts and everyday communal routines. Its 2016 notice included accommodation and meals, while a government report confirms a separate multi-day retreat in the preceding year. This is stronger than a sightseeing listing, but the historical camp’s terms cannot be treated as a standing invitation.
